How does hydrojet massage work?
The client lies fully clothed on a closed water bed filled with water at 32–35 °C, so the water never touches the body directly. Strong water jets from moving nozzles inside the bed massage the muscles along the whole body through the lying surface, with the intensity and path set by the chosen programme. The warmth and deep-acting pressure relax the muscles and increase blood and lymph circulation in the deeper tissues. This can help relieve back and joint pain, muscle stiffness and stress-related tension. The treatment is set up in a few steps, requires no therapist to be present and involves no changing of clothes. A session typically lasts 15–25 minutes.

Fields of application and effects
Hydrojet massage is used for conditions including back and joint pain, muscle stiffness (myogelosis), cervical, thoracic and lumbar disc syndrome, cervical migraine, and muscle imbalance and fatigue. Further indications include autonomic dystonia, stress-related conditions and exhaustion, milder forms of fibromyalgia, non-inflammatory rheumatic conditions, and venous and lymphatic congestion. The treatment increases blood flow to the muscles, skin and connective tissue, stimulates metabolism and lymphatic drainage, and regulates muscle tone.
Common features of the VelusJet family
Every VelusJet is a Class IIa medical device. The contactless design meets hygiene requirements, and the waterless Smart Cooling system takes care of cooling the unit. Programmes are selected with NFC cards, the device is operated with a rotary-knob controller, and optional voice control allows operation with eyes closed.
